The woman in the logo is the founder of the Gamila Secret brand and there is so much more to the bars of soap than I thought.
Behind it lies an inspirational story of a woman who's spent her entire life trying to formulate the perfect bar of soap.
Her name is Gamila Hiar and she was born on August 20, 1940, in a village called Peki’in in the Galilee (in northern Israel). Her devotion to make nourishing skin care products started at the age of 20, when she sacrificed a few hours of sleep each night to make soap after her daily chores. She was inspired by her father, an expert on plants and an authority on medical herbs. Within a few years, Gamila Hiar discovered her talent to mix the right herbs and cook them in a specific order to create a substance with a nourishing effect. After more than 40 years, Gamila Hiar developed a secret recipe formula based on her wisdom of nature known as Gamila Secret.
The Gamila Secret products are made with a unique mixture of herb extracts natural oils and extra-virgin Syrian olive oil, which have excellent anti-oxidant potency and contains a combination of 15 different plants.
